All right so to get started with disabling or turning off restricted mode in the YouTube app,
1. First open up the YouTube app.
2. Now tap on your profile icon.
3. Now tap on the gear icon to open up settings.
4. Now tap on General and,
5. Scroll down here you can see "Restricted mode" toggle it off if it's on.
If you still find that restricted mode is turned on even after turning it off it could be that you accidentally set your age so low that it's automatically turning it on
To fix this we need to Simply change the age for our Google or YouTube account,
1. okay so firstly tap on your profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
2. now tap on Google account At the top of the screen.
3. Now tape on personal info. and,
4. scroll down there you can see your name and your birthday so all we need to do here is fix your birthday if needed if maybe you put the wrong birthday in it is too young
well once you do that go back to YouTube and maybe restart the YouTube app you may have to turn off restricted mode one more time and then it should be off for good all right that's how you turn off restricted mode.
